Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation stresses our need to acknowledge our sins and to ask for God’s forgiveness. In this Sacrament of Forgiveness God grants us "pardon and peace" through the priest’s sacramental absolution.

Reconciliation is offered every Saturday from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Baptism:
Baptism is a sacrament by which the Christian community welcomes new members. At St. Anselm Church, we emphasize sacramental preparation consisting of a four part Parish Baptism Process, which the infant is always present. Each session, Welcoming, Gathering, Celebrating, and Reflecting, focus on the relationship a child enjoys as a person blessed by God. Sponsors for Baptism should be practicing Catholics, at least 16 years old, who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. To schedule Baptism, please call the church office, at least one month in advance. There are no Baptisms during Lent.

Marriage:
Preparation for Christian marriage begins at least one year prior to the planned date for a wedding. The Common Policy of the Church in New Jersey is followed in our parish. Marriage Preparation includes Engaged Encounter or Pre-CANA.

PARISH REGISTRATION

Our Parish Family invites all of its members to participate fully in its spiritual and social life. Every family moving into the parish is requested to register at the Parish Office. If an address should change, notification should be made to the same office.

To register to become an "official" member of the parish community, please see a member of the Registration Team after Saturday or Sunday Liturgy or else call the parish office at (732) 493-4411

RCIA

RCIA will begin again in October at St. Anselm. During the RCIA year from October through the Easter Vigil, we meet on Sunday mornings in the double classroom. We invite all who are interested in learning more about the traditions, sacraments and what it means to become a Catholic. If you have never been baptized, if you have been baptized but never received the sacrament of Confirmation, if you have been away from the church for a while and feel a need for renewal, please call for further information on the RCIA program. Jan Santanello, Director of Religious Education and Sandy Mullarkey, Parish Associate, 732-493-4411, will be happy to answer your questions.
