Baptism

Baptism is a sacrament by which the Christian community welcomes new members. At the Church of Saint Anselm, we emphasize sacramental preparation consisting of a four part Parish Baptism Process, at which the infant is always present.

Each session, including Welcoming, Gathering, Celebrating and Reflecting, focuses on the relationship a child enjoys as a person blessed by God. Sponsors for Baptism should be practicing Catholics, at least 16 years old, who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. To schedule Baptism, please call the church office at least one month in advance at 732-493-4411. There are no Baptisms during Lent.
