Sign up for the Peace Garden

It's that time again! We need volunteers to "adopt" a section of our Peace Garden for hte 2012 growing season. You don't need to be a Master Gardener; just be willing and able to keep your section looking neat and weed free.

A plot plan of the Garden is on display in the lobby along with additional gardening information. If you want to create a place of beauty and peace for all to enjoy and meet others with similar interests, select a section and put your name and contact information on the sign-up sheet or contact Pat Johnson at patg.johnson@verizon.net or 732-922-0568.

Costumes and Props Needed for the Summer Program

One of the favorite activities of the children enrolled in the Religious Education Summer Program is the performance and participation of skits based on stories from the Bible and the lives of the saints.

Costumes and props add so much to the experience - however, we are very short on these items. If you would like to donate a costume (store-bought or homemade) or props, it would be greatly appreciated.

Purchases can be made at the following websites: biblicalcostumehouse.com, christiancostumes.com, costumediscounters.com, costumes4less.com

A Journey From Grief to Healing

Grief is a normal and natural reaction to death of a loved one. Few of us are prepared for the long journey of grief that is at times devasting, frightening and lonely. Grief has been likened to a raw, open wound. With great care, it will heal, but there will always be a scar. In order to move beyond your grief you must "work" at it. There is not alternative. The most effetive way of working towards a healing is to find people who will listen to you tell your "grief story" over and over. Come to a St. Anselm Bereavement Support Group and begin the healing process.

Our daytime and evening bereavement support groups are now forming and will begin new six-week sessions in May. Please call or email Sandy at (732) 493-4411 smstanselm@aol.com for more information.
