A Letter from Father Brian T. Butch

Dear Parishioners,

I am being assigned as the Pastor of the Church of Saint Gabriel effective July 1, 2026.

I am so grateful for my time at Saint Anselm’s. It has truly been a blessing for me to have an opportunity to be the pastor here. The people of the parish are truly amazing, and it is the most welcoming place I have experienced. I will always be grateful for my time here.

Bishop David M. O'Connell has assigned Fr. Carlo Calisin to be the Administrator of Saint Anselm. Fr. Carlo has had the opportunity to celebrate Mass here on a number of occasions. He is very excited about coming here.

I am happy for him because I know how loving all of you have been to me, and he will be blessed to experience that kind of love from all of you! We are a vibrant parish.

Fr. Carlo is currently serving at Saint Dominic’s in Brick. He is a bright, friendly priest with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Please show him the same love you have shown me!

On Sunday, June 28, we will celebrate a farewell Mass and have a party. I thank you for your goodness and ask that you pray for me as I prepare for my new assignment.

I am grateful to all of you. I will pray for you as we celebrate Holy Week!
